“We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.”
I had the opportunity to attend my first blogger event at Legoland Water Park last week and let me tell you, I was impressed. We were there to see the new expansion of Surfer’s Cove opening late June 2017, which will include Riptide Racers, a slide that you can actually race against your family or friends in an exhilarating timed event. I can already imagine my husband and I trying to beat each other in this slip n’ slide fun! Surfer’s Cove will also include a splash-ground at Wipeout Lagoon and there will even be something new for your taste buds; Beach Street Tacos! We got to have a sneak of these savory tacos and they were awesome! This is NOT your typical theme park food, these were fresh, authentic street tacos, I would go back just to eat!;)Splash into @LEGOLAND_CA this summer with the new addition of Surfer's Cove! Some of the other features that we got to check out around the park included the main 45-foot tower where four main slides twist and turn, using the tower as its starting point. These four slides are 42″ in case you were wondering.
We hung out in the DUPLO Splash Safari area which has giant DUPLO Zoo animals, interactive spray pads, fountains, teeter totter; all great for the younger/shorter kids. This area also has three smaller slides that our younger ones could ride, one they could even do together which was great.
Another large attraction area is the Chima Water Park. This area looks amazing! There are lots of smaller slides, one which makes you feel like you are even coming out of the mouth of an alligator! This is another great area for riders under 42″.
We also took a peek at Pirate’s Reef which is an area that has a water ride, but watch out, even spectators will get drenched if you get too close!;)
Other areas include the Soak n’ Sail, Build-a-Raft River and Orange Rush; a family tube slide, all of these are 42″ and over. But there is more for the younger ones with Kid Creek, Joaker Soaker and even an Imagination Station.
We are so excited to go back very soon to see the opening of Surfer’s Cove, so stay tuned for more info on all the fun. We also have an upcoming trip to stay at the Legoland Hotel and to visit the Legoland Park, which I may be counting down the days until we go. Have you been to any of the Legoland parks or hotel? If so, what is your favorite thing to do?
