We love to dress up, so Halloween just gives our family a really good excuse to go all out. We are not really into anything scary or ghoulish so we typically pick something from our favorite Disney movie. I’m here to give you a few suggestions of Disney Family Halloween Costumes, plus links for your convenient shopping. My go-to locations for costumes are the ShopDisney site and Disguise costumes.

One year we are went as the characters from Aladdin, but we couldn’t decide if we wanted to match with the kids or each be a separate character. Below are the links to shop Jasmine, Aladdin Jafar and Genie.

Disney’s Wreck it Ralph Family Costumes

A few years ago was probably my favorite; the characters from Wreck it Ralph, plus my hubby even made the car that Penelope drives out of a push car we already owned. We did a lot of DIY on these costumes, but I’ve linked a few things you can buy to get you started.

Click here for men’s brown overalls, red shirt then we made a medal from some supplies from Hobby Lobby. Click here for the blonde wig I wore, everything else I had was just black on black with a borrowed motor cross chest protector and a fake gun. The hammer we spray painted gold and picked up the Felix patch off of Etsy (the hat you can buy on Amazon).

More Disney Family Costume Ideas…

Here are some other fun ideas we have thought about doing…

  • The Incredible family; mom, dad, Dash, Violet, baby

  • Or maybe your bunch wants to go with The Beauty and the Beast characters; Belle, Beast, Gaston or Chip.
  • One of our favorite’s is Mary PoppinsBert, chimney sweep, and of course a penguin.
  • What about Moana? You could be Moana, Maui, Pua and HeiHei. Or if mom wants to get really creative she could dress in all green, paint her face green and stick flowers all over herself and be Tafiti.
  • We also love the Avengers super heroes!!

I think my favorite might be the Peter Pan family, so cute!! I usually try to do group costumes for our family too, but last year I got lazy, lol.

    • Jenny

I loved the Peter Pan last year! I’m sure we won’t be able to do it every year, but while they are young I hope to continue the fun!;)

  2. Sarah @ Foxy's Domestic Side

Love this! I was never into Halloween until I had kids, so dang cute! Wishing that my kid could agree on this year, but we’re going to have to go our separate ways this year, girls dressing one way (power rangers) boys doing another (Ninjas), although they are close…so I guess I’ll take it!

    • Jenny

Well, at least the girls can be a unit and the boys and be another unit. I dread the day we can’t agree anymore…it might be coming sooner than I hope.

  3. Sarah

I love these costumes!! Thank you for the links. Such great ideas- and your family could pull off any Disney movie!

Thank you Sarah! Ya’ll have a new little nugget to add to your squad this year! What are you going to be?
