Back to School with Kohls

“You can never be overdressed or overeducated.” -Oscar Wilde

(This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I received the included back to school clothes and essentials as compensation, but as always all opinions are mine.)

Both kids are going to school this year for the first time and we are all pretty excited. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to go back to school shopping with my mom and find the season’s cutest things. But when you have two young kids who don’t really love to shop yet you do the next best thing, online shopping. It was fast, easy, convenient and best of all I was able to do it all at one place; Kohls. That in itself is a total mom win.

My husband and I have always loved Kohls, we can always find name brand items for super sale prices. Now that we have kids we love them even more, especially since they carry everything we need for the entire family.  I was able to score a huge lot of clothes for each kid and stay within my allotted budget of $100 per child. When our delivery arrived I was so happy to see all of our different options thanks to Kohls and their back to school sales.

For my Colton I knew I needed to grab some new jeans, a few long sleeve and short sleeve options. Of course I found this adorable fire themed shirt and knew it was perfect for our little firefighter in training. I have such a hard time finding jeans for this little guy because he has such a small waist but these jeans made by Carters with an elastic waist band fit him perfectly!

Rosie got a few new dresses including this lovely striped dress with lace detail. She immediately had to try it out if it would twirl well, and it did.

I found this “Handsome runs in the family” shirt and couldn’t resist. It pairs well with the same jeans, which he said “mom, these are really comfortable.”

Next I found this super comfy floral print shirt with leggings for Rosie. Again, she loved that it had a little ruffle to make her feel girly.

Colton needed another pant option, so I found these really cool burnt red pants, that are easy to get on and off for those quick bathroom breaks, no zippers are always a plus for us at this age. It came with a great striped, hooded shirt that will even be perfect for our cruise that we are going on in a few weeks.

I saw this little white lace dress and knew it would be just perfect for the days that she is feeling a bit more fancy, which is almost everyday!;) The detail on it is so lovely, I knew she would love it and she did.

Graphic shirts for boys are really a must, so I also grabbed this “Adventure Calling” one to add to our collection. It is super light weight, which is perfect for our Southern California fall/winter.

I also couldn’t resist this adorable anchor shirt with striped shorts, perfect for school and perfect for our upcoming cruise!

They also both needed some new pajamas before the new school year so I found these great fire themed ones for Colton and these Ballerina ones for Rosalie.

As you can see I was able to get a lot of items while staying in budget. Kohls has much more than just clothes to get your kids ready for back to school. I decided we didn’t really need new back packs this year, but they have lots of options for back packs, lunch boxes, shoes, undies, even school uniforms. It is definitely your one stop shop this school year. They are going to be having a “Family and Friends” Sale August 17th-20th for 20% using the code SAVER. You can also get $10 off $50 August 4th-20th using the code BTS10. These really are the best deals around and the most convenient.
